a few weeks ago i had the honor of photographing a dear family friends wedding. i’ve known this couple for a very long time. it’s funny just how small the world is. i knew the groom before the bride. then after i married my husband i met the bride. who would have known they were together. see. small world. i’ll never forget at my wedding reception when michelle came up to me on the dance floor proudly showing me her shiny new engagement ring. she had just gotten engaged. i was so happy for the two of them. now here we are almost five years later. michael and michelle. married.

it was a beautiful day. a beautiful church. a beautiful bride. a nervous groom. and a family that could not be happier for this couple. they are truly loved and embraced by so many. it’s amazing quite honestly. one of the many reasons i love my job is that i get to watch a day like this unfold right before my eyes. i am so fortunate to watch the emotions. the love. the happiness. all as an outsider looking in. through my lens i saw nervous laughter. tears of happiness. and an outpouring of love for these two. it reminds me of the good in the world, really.

michael and michelle, i wish you two nothing but all the wonderful things this world has to offer. you two are truly made for each other. you are also both so lucky to have so many wonderful people in your lives. i have never seen love and support quite like this. and that’s one thing i can tell you both – you are indeed loved. so much. by so many. and thank you so much for letting me capture your day. it was an honor, as your friend, to do this for you. i love you both and wish you nothing but a happily ever after.

meet the emerson family. dan. kim. charlie. charlie is six months old. and oh. my. goodness. that round chubby face. that sweet little gummy grin. those big blue eyes. make my heart just melt. the emerson family – i don’t know where to begin. just so easy to get along with. we strolled through the park one early saturday morning for this particular session and it was like i had known them forever. families like this just make my job, well, not feel like a job. and babies like charlie, well, they make my heart skip a beat. they make my heart smile. they make me step back and enjoy the world through their little innocent eyes.

emerson family, what a great morning. i truly had a wonderful time with the three of you. i loved every moment getting to know you. mostly i loved playing with charlie. he is the reason i love, love, love my job.

meet the barbaglia family. anthony. amanda. little ant. vinny. laurenza. now. this session is very near and dear to my heart. the barbaglia’s are very good friends of my family. my husband and anthony go way back. i’m talking grade school back. and now they live in california. and it makes me sad. i hate distance. they just so happened to be in town for another friend’s wedding as well as laurenza’s baptism. so what a better time than during their visit to capture some memories. and i am beyond thrilled that we did.

a beautiful sunset. a beautiful family. and some beautiful memories were made. i adore you all. i miss you so. and more than anything i hope you enjoy each and every single image.

xoxo

she’s here. poppy — i mean — adalie. she’s here. all teenie tiny littly bitty of this beautiful baby girl is here. you remember chris and stephanie, right? {here} is your refresher. she, she is the single most reason i love, love, love my job. to get to snuggle on a perfect little girl like herself. oh.my.word. i was in heaven. after snuggling on her it was time to work. and by work i mean capture such sweet and personal moments for two people i truly adore. i walked into their home and i could feel the love they have for her. i could sense how their entire lives have changed in a matter of moments. i remember that feeling. it’s an amazing and totally indescribable feeling. and they have it. i see their eyes light up. i see them soothing their daughter like seasoned pros. what amazing, incredible and outstanding parents they have become in such a short time. they love that little girl and i’m telling you, she loves them too.

chris and stephanie, i adore poppy. she is beautiful. perfect. cuddly. thank you beyond what words can say for letting me into your home and into your lives to be a part of such special moments and memories.

enjoy. and as always, see them all {HERE}
